William Frazer - Carnegie Postdoctoral Fellow

William Frazer

I am a postdoctoral fellow at Carnegie EPL. My research focuses on seismic imaging of mantle plumes and the volcanic processes they generate on the surface. Currently, I focus on how different types of mantle upwellings modify and stress their overlying lithosphere. My work leverages publicly available seismic data and includes the collection of new datasets through the deployment of temporary instruments. I am the lead investigator of the Bermuda Earthquake and Structure Test (BEST), a temporary deployment of seismometers in Bermuda. I received my Ph.D. in 2024 from Yale University.
